How Are Watercolor Cards Made?

Every artist will have their own unique methodology for creating watercolor cards. Our process can be summarized in 6 steps.

1. The creation process for a new card starts with a sketch. We’ll sketch out our initial design in a notebook.
2. Once we have a design we like, we’ll transfer that sketch to watercolor paper.
3. We start painting over our pencil sketch with watercolor paint.
4. Once a painting is finished we’ll erase the pencil lines and take a photo of the painting.
5. The photo is uploaded to a computer where the design is prepared for print.
6. The new card design is sent to our printing company for print. Once the cards are printed, they’re shipped to our shop for sale.
