Personalized stationery makes even a short, simple note feel extra special. Our personalized stationery sets with hand painted watercolor designs are great for gifting or celebrating special occasions, or simply for elevating your desk and making letter writing feel like a treat.
We offer a variety of personalized stationery designs in a range of styles and colors so we have something for everyone! All of our stationery features our original watercolor designs. Cards feature your personalization on the front along with blank space for writing, and they have a decorative pattern or design on the back side. Our stationery is printed on 110 lb smooth white cardstock, and cards are A2 size, measuring 4.25×5.5 inches. Cards are packaged in a resealable cello bag and tied with light blue baker’s twine, then they are shipped to you in a cardboard box to keep them safe in transit.
Ordering personalized stationery shouldn’t be complicated or confusing. Here’s a quick explanation of your options to clear up questions you may have as you place your personalized stationery order.
Many of our stationery designs have options that make your personalized design unique to your preferences and needs. Design options that can be customized often include card orientation and color, and sometimes certain elements of the design can be swapped out to make your stationery unique to you (our dog stationery is a great example of this!).
All of our stationery designs are available in landscape (horizontal) orientation, which tends to be more popular for flat cards. Many designs are available in landscape and portrait orientations, and both work great and generally provide you with the same amount of space for writing. Sometimes if there’s a large design element at the top, this can take up more space on horizontal cards. Vertical orientation may provide you with more writing space on cards with these designs if you need it.
All of our stationery designs are personalized or semi-custom; we currently do not offer fully custom designs. The options you see on any given listing are the options that are available for that design, and we cannot make additional changes.
You may have found stationery in a style that you love, but it’s the personalization with your name at the top that makes it really special! There are a few considerations you may have when personalizing your stationery.
The way you personalize your stationery reflects you and your personality. Including just your name at the top (or bottom) of your stationery is classic and simple. There are many ways you might choose to write out your name:
Changing the way you format your name changes the tone of your stationery – it can be friendly and open, polished and formal, or professional and businesslike. Stationery can also be personalized for more than one person. Couples, families, or groups can be included on your stationery, and again, there are many ways you might choose to format multiple names. Consider the following:
Stationery can be used for a variety of types of groups – from businesses and professional organizations, to non profits and churches, or clubs, sports teams and sororities. Adding the name of your business, group, or organization to personalized stationery can make notes and mailings fun and special.
Adding a greeting along with your name can add some personality and fun to your cards. Some of our designs include two lines of text with a standard greeting automatically included. This can always be removed if that’s your preference, or you can change the wording if you like – just type in the personalization box the wording you prefer (or a note to omit this line of text) and we will update your design! If there’s just one line of text, you can still add whatever wording you would like. A greeting along with your personalization can be generic for every occasion, warm for personal notes and letters, professional for business use, or specific to an occasion or holiday that you’re using your cards to celebrate. Consider some of the following greetings for inspiration:
Our stationery designs feature a variety of font styles. Some use upper and lower case letters, some use all caps, and others use caps case. However you see the examples formatted in the images is how your text will be formatted by default if your text is entered using upper and lowercase letters. If a design uses a script font, please don’t enter your personalization in all caps! This looks really strange and we prefer not to manually change all of your characters to the correct case. Some designs use caps case – this is where the first (capitalized) letter in a name is a bit larger than the others, but all letters are uppercase. To achieve this style, enter your personalization using both uppercase and lowercase. If you enter your personalization in all caps, all the letters will appear the same size. For serif and sans serif fonts, if you prefer all caps, feel free to enter your text that way. Some designs will specify that text is automatically formatted in all caps. It doesn’t matter how you enter your personalization – that is how the design is formatted. If you prefer the use of both upper and lowercase letters, you can specify that in the box and enter your personalization using both.
A couple of other things to note – we use the exact wording you input into the text box for your personalization (unless of course you add a note to us on wording or formatting). That means however you capitalize your text, or if you include any punctuation, that’s how we will put it on your cards. Please note that we do not provide three letter monogram formatting. You can use initials, but they will all be the same size and will be entered in the order you put them in the text box. If your personalization includes roman numerals, this can look a little funky in most script fonts, so we may reach out to change the font, or we recommend finding an alternative wording.
This is pretty self explanatory – order the number of cards you will need! Due to minimum print requirements, we start at 10 cards, then offer quantities in increments of 25. We provide a discounted rate per card the more you order, so if you’re going to use a lot, it pays to order in bulk!
Our stationery automatically comes with white, square flap envelopes. The envelopes sourced by the printing company we partner with are great quality with a nice thickness, weight, and a slight texture. If you have the budget, upgrading your envelopes can make your stationery even more beautiful, and it can even be a convenience for you.
Square flap envelopes are our standard envelope style. They are cut straight across the back flap and are a classic option. We offer an upgrade to euro flap envelopes if you’re looking for a higher end, elegant envelope style. Euro flap envelopes have a longer flap that comes to a curved point. The euro flap envelopes we offer come in white.
Envelope liners are a way to add extra personality to your envelopes, and they make everything in your stationery look nicely coordinated. When you choose to add envelope liners to your envelopes, they will come in the same pattern as the back side of your stationery (and the same color if applicable). If you add envelope liners, they will come fully assembled for you.
Return address printing is perhaps the most practical envelope upgrade you can choose. It saves you time and effort writing out the return address yourself, and it makes your return address neat and clearly legible. Return address printing is done in black ink on the back flap of your envelopes in the same font (or fonts) as the personalization on your stationery. If two fonts are used on your stationery, we use the more decorative font for the name line of your return address.
Seeing your personalized design in person when your order arrives is fun and exciting. But sometimes it can be hard to visualize how all your design selections will come together. If you’re unsure about how your personalized stationery will look and you want to make sure you’re happy before your order arrives, we are happy to send a mockup before sending your personalized items to print. This may extend production times as we will not send items to print until we receive your approval if a proof is requested.
Sometimes things don’t look how you expect. Certain fonts, especially script fonts, can cause some confusion for some customers. The only time we will replace items is when there is a design or printing error on our part – we don’t replace items because you’re unhappy with how your personalization looks in the font on your design. If you’re unsure, we’d prefer you request a proof before having items printed to be sure you’re happy with your stationery!
We partner with a professional printing company that specializes in stationery, invitations, and greeting cards for all of our personalized stationery orders. It typically takes about a week from the time your order is placed for us to get your items back from the printer and ready to ship, but it may take a little longer around holidays and busy seasons. We are unable to rush production times.
Once we have your stationery back from the printer, we do our best to ship all orders the next business day. We use USPS Ground Advantage for shipping on all orders and shipping is free on stationery orders. You should receive a shipping notification with tracking when your order ships.
If you need your stationery by a particular date, we recommend ordering at least 2.5 weeks ahead of time to ensure plenty of time for production and shipping. For delivery by Christmas, we recommend ordering at least three weeks early due to increased order volumes and potential shipping delays. Delivery times are subject to carrier schedules, and we can’t guarantee delivery dates.
